The Band

As with the Hot Club de France, our ensemble is composed of strings, reeds and horns taking up little space in a confined venue.

However, we are able to augment the ensemble with other instruments at request to suit your event.

"Professional, but light hearted and good fun"

As the guests arrive, the band is playing a Cole Porter ballad, a Reinhart serenade or even Gershwin's 'Summertime'. An ambience is created for a splendid few hours of merriment, good wine and conversation.

The Band can be hired as a basic quartet/quintet but we can augment the band at request.

"Dear Nick - you and your band were AMAZING - cannot thank you enough for working so hard to make everyone feel happy and joyous.   Everyone is positively purring about the truly glorious music.  You surmounted all the challenges - uneven ground, electrics failing, chairs breaking, hostess flapping and goodness knows what else!

The feedback has been heart-warming and I do feel everyone genuinely had a wonderful time - in LARGE part thanks to you and your superb musicians.  Do, please convey to them all my very sincere thanks and appreciation for their magnificent and irreplaceable contribution to the proceedings." -Christine

"French connection are an INCREDIBLE BAND, to have such an array of top class musicians playing for us was a real privilege and a sound we would usually have to queue for at a concert. No, we will never forget those two amazing hours.

Such an unbelievably wonderful part of the wedding day" - Nick and Jane

"Hi Nick, back from honeymoon now and wanted to say thank you so much to you and the band for coming to play at our wedding. It was incredible and we have had nothing but 5* reviews! Your sets were absolutely wonderful and really set the most perfect atmosphere for our day..."-Elsa

Dear Nick, we wanted to thank you and the band so much for making our 25th celebrations such a huge success!!  We were so fortunate and honoured to have you play- particularly as my expertly knowledgeable brother in law said you were the best band he'd ever heard live! Including those which play at the Ritz and Claridge's- of which he is a devote.

Everyone thought you were brilliant and we've had lots of effusive thank you letters, particularly commenting on the "wonderful band". We'll have to think up another party excuse so we can have you back! A million thanks..." - John and Vivien
